The Centuria range, released in the late 1980s, was Konica’s take on a consumer color film designed for natural color reproduction and dependable performance across a wide range of shooting conditions. Available in 100, 200, and 400 speeds, these films were commonly used for everyday photography, travel, street scenes, and casual portraits. Rather than emphasizing heavy saturation or strong contrast, Minolta Centuria was known for its balanced tones, clean colors, and realistic rendering of skin and natural environments.
ISO 100 offered finer grain and higher detail, while 200 and 400 provided greater flexibility in lower light without becoming overly coarse. Across all speeds, the films maintained a smooth grain structure and a gentle tonal response, making them reliable choices for photographers who valued consistency and a natural look.
