Originally introduced in 1986, Kodacolor VR Plus (VR-G) was Kodak’s improved successor to the original Kodacolor VR films from 1982. Available in 100, 200, and 400 speeds (with the odd 1000 which later joined the line up), the VR-G line refined Kodak’s T-Grain technology with finer grain, improved sharpness, and better color rendition, while retaining the warmth and vibrancy that made Kodacolor VR so popular. Soon after its release, Kodacolor VR Plus (VR-G) was rebranded as Kodacolor Gold, which went on to become one of Kodak’s best-known and longest-lasting consumer film families.
