Kodak Vericolor II Professional Film, also known as VPS II, was a professional grade color negative film introduced in 1974. Widely used by portrait, wedding, studio, and commercial photographers before the later Vericolor III generation, it was known for its gentle contrast, warm natural color, muted saturation, smooth tonal transitions, and delicate skin tones.
Distinct from VPS III, Vericolor II carried a slightly older, softer, and more vintage character. It was designed for photographers who needed reliable color reproduction while preserving a flattering, understated look, especially in portraits and controlled light environments. Though no longer in production, its subtle warmth and classic professional film feel continue to appeal to photographers looking for a soft yet still very analog aesthetic.
